VP, AD CP open Presidential Palace
Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday evening opened the UAE Presidential Palace (Qasr Al Watan) within the Presidential Palace Complex in Abu Dhabi.
“Qasr Al Watan” – is a new cultural landmark that will open its doors to the public.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “The UAE’S legacy of cultural heritage represents a cherished asset for current and future generations, and a source of strength that supports our aspirations for a brighter future of our country. Hence, we should take care of and preserve it, so that the community can reach its content.”
Sheikh Mohammed continued, “The Palace’s availability to the public to visit reflects the country’s keenness to facilitate the full opportunity to introduce them to important aspects of our heritage with all the human values and creativity, which must be revived and celebrated through generations.”
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed stressed the UAE’S interest under the prudent leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to preserve its cultural and human heritage, as well as highlighting its long history, which is rich in great achievements of parents and grandparents.
Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed further noted that these symbols strengthen the loyalty values of successive generations and their belonging to the homeland.
“They stand a source of inspiration and motivation to do more to move forward in achieving the country’s aspirations of development and progress,” he added in an official statement.
Sheikh Mohammed and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed, along with the Crown Princes toured the halls of Qasr Al Watan exploring its architectural arts, which reflect the creativity of the Arab architecture in a contemporary vision. It has made it a unique monument highlighting the cultural message of the United Arab Emirates.
The opening ceremony was atended by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah, along with a large number of sheikhs, ministers and senior officials.
