Now driving licence tests in Sharjah on Saturdays also

The Department of Vehicles and Drivers Licencing of the Eastern Region Police at the Department of Sharjah Police declared that the department will provide services to the public, in relation to the initial driving licence tests or the city test, on Saturday.

Lieutinant Colonel Salim Abdullah Al Riyami, Acting Head of a department, said, “We aim to make the public happy by facilitati­ng the services provided to them and give the opportunit­y to people working all week days.”

He added the service is part of a number of services provided by Sharjah Police to improve and develop all services provided by the Sharjah police targeting the convenienc­e of all customers.

Recently the Sharjah Police Driving Licence Department, in collaborat­ion with Sharjah Driving Institute, launched state-of-the-art online services that will help ease time and effort to obtain driving licences in the emirate.

The smart services can be accessed from the Sharjah Driving Institute website.

The smart services include the electronic registrati­on and e-learning system.

The Sharjah Police’s initiative­s are in line with the strategic objective of the Ministry of Interior, aimed at enhancing customers’ satisfacti­on.

Lt. Col. Humaid Saeed Al Jallaf, Director of Licensing Department said, “The aim of the launch of this electronic service is to keep up with the developmen­t of the services provided to the public and harness the technologi­cal boom witnessed by the whole world in providing services to customers and obtaining their goals and ease the lengthy process.”

The services provided by the smart applicatio­n are e-learning by atending lectures online, theory classes, with the verificati­on of the completion of atendance.

Licence seekers can enquire about the dates and results of examinatio­ns.

Customers can make online payments for certain services.

The electronic service also provides a range of services, such as: request to change the trainer, stop the practice or change the date of the examinatio­n, and change the current training site.
