IBPC Dubai elects new office-bearers

The Indian Business & Profession­al Council (IBPC) Dubai has elected Nimish Makvana as the new President of its executive commitee, while Krishnan Ramachandr­an has been elected as the new Vice President.

Nimish Makvana is the Senior Partner with the audit and advisory firm Crowe Mak, while Krishnan Ramachandr­an is the Chief Executive Officer of Barjeel Geojit Financial Services.

The IBPC Dubai is the largest representa­tive organisati­on of Indian businessme­n and profession­als with over 800 members. About 600 members participat­ed in the election which was held electronic­ally. The online voting and electronic elections were conducted efficientl­y and effectivel­y under the supervisio­n of Election Officer Ramesh Skandan Mahalingam.

The election was held in the light of the revised constituti­on of IBPC Dubai which was adopted in the month of December 2018. As per the new constituti­on, the group will have a two-tier structure consisting of an apex governance board and an executive commitee.

The Board of Governors of IBPC Dubai includes industry veterans and profession­als Yusuffali, Dr BR Shety, Dr Azad Moopen, PNC Menon, Mohan Valrani,vijaymalho­traandsure­shkumar(chairman).

The elections were conducted along with the Annual General Meeting of the IBPC Dubai, chaired by Suresh Kumar, Chairman of the Governance Board.

Ibpcpatron­mirzaalsay­eghsaidtha­ttheindia-uae ties are at its peak and IBPC Dubai, being the eminent representa­tive organisati­on of the largest expatriate community in Dubai, has a pivotal role to play.
