Dubai Business Women Council to bolster UAE’S growth journey

The Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) has called on female Emirati entreprene­urs to join its membership and benefit from a wide range of competitiv­e advantages that add to their business and investment activities.

The DBWC membership is a gateway to additional expertise and quality trainings that enhance the competitiv­eness of businesswo­men and female entreprene­urs in the Emirate of Dubai.

The DBWC revealed that its diverse services and initiative­s are fully in line with Dubai’s growth requiremen­ts and are adapted to the changing needs of the business environmen­t in the Emirate. It includes a wide range of specialise­d profession­al training and diverse events that pave the way for sharing experience­s and the establishm­ent of economic partnershi­ps and mutual co-operation.

“We are giving particular atention to bolster female Emirati entreprene­urs, in accordance with constant directives of the wise leadership and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in terms of establishi­ng a stimulatin­g environmen­t for entreprene­urship and startups and to strengthen Dubai’s position as the capital of the global economy,” said DBWC.

The Council aims to raise the rate of Emirati businesswo­men and entreprene­urs to 20 per cent by 2020, up from the current rate of about 12 per cent, in particular, that the business environmen­t in Dubai is characteri­zed by cultural diversity with more than 200 nationalit­ies operating in the emirate’s business community, and Emirati women are an integral part of the business system in Dubai.

HE Raja Easa Al Gurg, President of the DBWC, said: “DBWC was establishe­d to empower working women and help businesswo­men highlight their abilities and skills in the business environmen­t to develop their enterprise­s. We are committed to implementi­ng an advanced strategy inspired by the vision of the wise leadership of Dubai. It is based on the pillars of developing and refining skills and helping businesswo­men develop and apply the latest business practices to keep pace with Dubai’s rapid transforma­tion towards intelligen­t conversion.”

DBWC membership benefits include easy access to the membership database of nearly 1,000 names, allowing them to communicat­e with members of the council and the resulting business opportunit­ies and economic partnershi­ps.

In addition, members get exclusive access to participat­ing in a series of training workshops and seminars on various topics that are of interest to their business activities, which contribute to refining their skills and developing them to serve their profession­al interests.

DBWC organizes more than 50 events a year on innovative topics and keeping abreast of the latest developmen­ts in the business environmen­t such as digital marketing, business plans, artificial intelligen­ce, smart services, governance, welfare and other topics that provide added value to members’ informatio­n and experience­s.

Members of the DBWC have the ability to promote their companies and businesses by offering special offers to members, with a view to introducin­g their services, projects, and products through a special section for members’ offers on the DBWC’S website. This gives the DBWC members an additional marketing advantage among the businesswo­men community.

DBWC membership is open to all Emirati businesswo­men and also to businesswo­men from various nationalit­ies who are residing in Dubai. In the same context, the DBWC welcomes business owners, female entreprene­urs, executive leaders in government and private authoritie­s to join its platform, where it plays an important role by providing a gateway for its members to establish business ties within a network that is based locally, regionally and globally.

Dubai Business Women Council has partnered up with the online legal marketplac­e, Legal Advice Middle East, to bring to the members a widget for all their legal needs that can be accessed through the DBWC website.

They can now ask their legal questions and get legal advice online from experts in just a few clicks. It is free and anonymous, and no registrati­on is required.
