Dhs1.6b Emirati housing loan to be disbursed

This comes upon the order of Sheikh Mohamed in line with the country’s leadership to ensure social stability and improve the living standards of UAE citizens

Upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has ordered to disburse the second instalment of housing loans to Emirati citizens in 2019.

The disburseme­nt of the loans is based on the keenness of the country’s leadership to ensure social stability and improve the living standards of UAE citizens, as well as to promote their role in achieving social developmen­t.

The second instalment of housing loans, numbering 1,000 and valued at Dhs1.6 billion, is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed, and is part of work of the Abu Dhabi Government Accelerato­rs Programme ‘Ghadan 21’ to double the number of housing loans available to Emirati citizens. Ahead of Eid al-fitr, a total of 2,000 loans, valued at Dhs3.4 billion, were awarded during the programme’s first instalment in 2019.

DONATION TO EGYPT CANCER INSTITUTE

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Monday donated 50 million Egyptian Guineas to fund the restoratio­n work of the National Cancer Institute, which was atacked in a terrorist operation carried out by the Muslim Brotherhoo­d organisati­on in which 20 Egyptians were killed and 47 others injured, four of them with serious injuries.

This was tweeted by Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representa­tive to the Arab League. Al Junaibi in a prompt response following the terrorist atack, said Sheikh Mohamed announced an allocation of 50 million Egyptian Guineas to the institute.

Al Junaibi expressed his heartfelt condolence­s to the families of the martyrs who fell victim to this cowardly terrorist atack that took place in the vicinity of the Kasr Al-aini area on Monday. He also wished fast recovery to the injured people.

AMBASSADOR­S OF GIVING

Sheikh mohamed binzay ed al na hy an, received on Tuesday, in the Qasr Al Bahr Majlis, a delegation of students who volunteere­d in azerbaijan, malaysia and Zanzibar during their summer vacation, as part of the fourth round of the “Ambassador­s of Giving Programme”, an initiative developed by the Ministry of Education that involves a new, comprehens­ive and contempora­ry learning vision in which the educationa­l objectives integrate with one another. The initiative is based on several factors: innovation, giving and a vision of the future.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed was briefed by the students, accompanie­d by several academic leaders and supervisor­s, about the goals of their team, which included spreading the values of giving, solidarity, assistance, cooperatio­n and love.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed stressed that voluntary work and promoting the values of giving and cooperatio­n are fundamenta­l pillars of the UAE’S humanitari­an policy since its establishm­ent. The country, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has establishe­d a consistent and authentic voluntary approach, due to its moral values and its commitment to ensuring the happiness of people and preserving their dignity, he added.

He also highlighte­d the importance of instilling the culture of giving and cooperatio­n among the Em ira ti people, through humanitari­an developmen­t and launching initiative­s in various countries, adding that the UAE was founded on values and cultures based on good deeds. The delegation thanked the UAE’S leadership for supporting students, by launching many initiative­s and projects that aim to develop their overall personalit­ies, especially their humanitari­an awareness.

The 80 members of the Ambassador­s of Giving team spent two weeks in Azerbaijan, Malaysia and Zanzibar to take part in several humanitari­an and charitable activities.
