Fujairah Ruler Sheikh Hamad pardons 73 inmates
FUJAIRAH: H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujai rah, has ordered the release of 73 prisoners from penal and correctional facilities in the emirate for good conduct considerations, ahead of Eid Al Adha.
The gesture will give the prisoners a chance to start a new chapter in their lives and bring joy to their families.
Major General Mohammed Ahmed Bin Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-chief of Fujairah Police, extended his thanks and appreciation tot hefuj air ah Ruler, expressing his hope that this fresh start would give the pardoned prisoners a chance to get back to normal family life.

Sheikh Hamad highlighted Fujairah’s key role in creating a suitable investment environment for oil companies, through atracting investors in the energy and oil sectors.
He made this statement on Tuesday in the Al Rumailah Palace while receiving Russell Hardy, CEO of Vitol, who presented the latest developments in the energy sector, with the aim of reinforcing the cooperation between Fujairah and Vitol.
Fujairah plays a crucial role in local and international energy markets, due to its strategic location and advanced infrastructure, Hardy stressed.
Vitol has a strong global presence, with 16 oil storage stations and oil refineries around the world, including in Fujairah.
The company’s storage capacity in Fujairah is 1.6 million cubic metres housed in two facilities, with a total production capacity of 180 barrels per day.
The meeting was atended by Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Emiri Diwan, Captain Salem All Afkham, Director of the Fujairah Oil Industries, Foz, and Sifash Ali, General Manager of VTTI Fujairah.
Recently Sheikh Hamad sent a congratulatory message to Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said of Oman on his country’s Renaissance Day, which is marked on 23rd July.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, also dispatched a similar message to Sultan Qaboos.
