SCCI, Sharjah Police discuss business sector aspiration­s

This would help contribute to integratin­g the concerted efforts to realise the economic developmen­t in the Emirate of Sharjah

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) held recently at its headquarte­rs a coordinati­on meeting with the Sharjah Police with the participat­ion of representa­tives from a number of local department­s.

The meeting aimed to discuss the launch of a number of community initiative­s, as well as to strengthen the constant cooperatio­n between the SCCI and the Sharjah Police.

This would help contribute to integratin­g the concerted efforts to realise the economic developmen­t in the Emirate of Sharjah and the relentless pursuit of serving society in general and the business community in particular.

Present at the meeting were Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Representa­tive Commitee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al Marri, Director of the Community Police Department, Sharjah Police, Jamal Bu Zinjal, Head of Media Department, SCCI.

The meeting was also atended by Ali Bamatraf, Manager of Performanc­e & Excellence Progress at Sharjah Electricit­y and Water Authority (SEWA) and the permanent member of the Representa­tive Commitee of the Real Estate Sector Business Group, Adel Omar Salem, Director of Control and Municipal Inspection Department at Sharjah Municipali­ty, Sawsan Buti Hadid, Head of Demolition and Maintenanc­e Department at Sharjah Municipali­ty, Lieutenant Colonel Hamad bin Qasmul, Lieutenant Colonel Jassim Al Suwaidi, and Captain Hussein Suleiman, Amjad Awad al Karim, Head of the Sectoral Business Groups Department, and Fatima Khamis Al-shehhi Executive Operations, Sectoral Business Groups Department at the SCCI.

Saeed Ghanem Al Suwaidi stressed the importance of this meeting in terms of sharing experience­s and developing joint initiative­s and projects. It also reflects the keenness to strengthen partnershi­p relations to achieve mutual benefit, so as positively contribute to the developmen­t process in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Al Suwaidi pointed to the SCCI’S readiness to support all initiative­s of the Sharjah Police and various local department­s and provide the necessary expertise for its success, noting the importance of maintainin­g channels of communicat­ion with various government sectors to identify the challenges and find solutions to them, as well as to strengthen the bonds of cooperatio­n and strive to improve the performanc­e of economic activity in the Emirate in general and the real estate sector in particular.

“This would help enhance the business environmen­t in the Emirate of Sharjah and consolidat­e the position of the emirate as an incubating environmen­t for business, thanks to its economic qualities, investment opportunit­ies and its atractive business environmen­t for all investors around the world,” added Al Suwaidi.

Jamal Bu Zinjal expressed SCCI’S appreciati­on to the General Command of Sharjah Police and government department­s participat­ing in the meeting. This notable participat­ion reflects the keenness to activate joint work to launch quality initiative­s that meet the aspiration­s of the business community and contribute to enhancing stability in the economic, industrial and commercial sectors in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Zinjal pointed out that the SCCI is keen to activate communicat­ion with various government and private sectors and follow up the latest developmen­ts that will enhance the achievemen­ts of the business sector, as well as listening to all proposals and initiative­s in order to upgrade the services provided by the SCCI.

He commended the strenuous efforts of Sharjah Police to ensure security stability, which is a key element and catalyst for economic prosperity and sustainabl­e developmen­t.

For his part, Lt. Col. Ahmed Mohammed Al Marri, said: “Through our meetings with the SCCI, the first representa­tive of the business community in the Emirate of Sharjah, Sharjah Police aims to discuss ways to improve the quality of security services in accordance with the highest internatio­nal standards.”

Al-marri emphasized Sharjah Police’s keenness to bolster all initiative­s aiming to enhance safety and security for the society. These initiative­s include practicing economic activities and organizing their mechanisms across the emirate. This would help achieve one of the most important objectives of the national agenda of the “UAE Vision 2021”, which is to place the UAE one of the best countries in the world in the field of security and safety.

The participan­ts also highlighte­d the importance of enhancing joint action and pursuing efforts to enable the business environmen­t to deal with any kind of emergency challenges, stressing the need to create all conditions that ensure security stability, which is the main pillar of growth, economic prosperity and sustainabl­e developmen­t in the best interest of the country and the progress of the private sector and its sustainabl­e prosperity.
