Sharjah Police find body in Industrial Area, probe launched

Sh arj ah: sh arj ah police general headquarte­rs are investigat­ing the finding of an anonymous body of an Asian in Industrial Area 10.

The Operations Room at the Sharjah Police General Headquarte­rs received a tipoff on Tuesday alerting that an unidentifi­ed body of an Asian was found in a warehouse in the Industrial Area 10.

Instantly on receiving the tipoff, Teams of the Criminal lab, Crime scene and the National Ambulance were rushed to the scene.

When the body was examined, it was found it had been stabbed in the abdomen and legs.

On the other hand, the Ras Al Khaimah Police, represente­d by the Criminal Investigat­ion Department, arrested four Africans on charges of atempting to steal money from an automated teller machine (ATM).

Thanks to their high profession­alism in dealing with security issues, the emirate’s police were able to arrest the suspects within 24 hours, said Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan, Commander-inchief of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

According to Brigadier Abdullah Ali Menkhas, Director General of Police Operations, the operations room received a report about an atempt to rob an ATM and when the ATM was examined, it was found that the robbers tried to cut off the wiring of the ATM but the robbers could not open it.

Following intensive investigat­ions, the work team formed to track the robbers down, could identify the suspects who were arrested in their place of residence together with the devices used in their atempt to open the ATM.

In an unrelated developmen­t, the dubai criminal Court on Wednesday jailed a 22-year-old African maid for three months to be followed by deportatio­n for stealing items from her employer house and fleeing ater pretending to be sick.

The victim testified that she was at work on the morning of the incident when her daughter returned from college and the maid told her she was sick. The daughter reportedly gave her medicine but at 11 am she carried a bag, let the house and never returned. The girl called her mother and told her the maid had escaped.
