Indian model and dancer Muskaan Kataria loves Dubai
SHARJAH: Far from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, Bollywood actors, models and celebrities love to come and spend time in Dubai. They love the vibes of the city, which also provides them solace and breathing space after a tiring and hectic shoot in Mumbai. Lots of Bollywood stars prefer to come to the city for a much needed break and they love it. Aspiring Bollywood actress, model and accomplished dancer Muskaan Kataria is no different. She too is fascinated by the city. She was in town on Monday, to spend some quality time. Muskaan, who started her modelling career from Jaipur, India, went on to take part in a dance reality show “Nach Baliye” season 9, which brought her unprecedented fame. She was also appreciated for her dancing skills. She got plenty of praise from that show and that has paved the way for her to dream a place in the world of cinema.
“Nach Baliye” is an Indian celebrity couple dance reality television series, which was started in 2005, and has completed nine years. It has been a very popular Indian TV show since its inception.
Now, Muskaan is all set to make a debut for a web series, which will be aired on a very prestigious TV channel soon. She looks very excited. Talking to Gulf Today on Monday, she praises Dubai, “The city is amazing. I enjoy each and every place of Dubai. I am in love with this city.” This is her second visit this year. Her liking for the city can be seen in her Instagram posts, where she has posed at almost every landmark of Dubai.
Dubai, which is also considered the fashion capital of the Middle East, always fascinates visitors and residents. Talking about that she says, “I love to shop here. I did shopping for my family and friends. It is an amazing experience to roam around in malls.” Muskaan, who started her career as a model in 2014 from her hometown Jaipur, Rajasthan, got noticed for her looks and talent. She became one of the finalists of FBB Campus Princess 2018 when she was 18 years of age. She was crowned with the title “Miss Multimedia” at the FBB Campus Princess contest in 2018.
That moment paved the road for her to the world of modelling. She went on to do many shoots and shows, before being shifted to Mumbai. Talking about her Mumbai journey she says, “It has been amazing. I have been lucky to get nice people around me. After modelling, I did acting and then a dancing show. Now, I am in talks for a couple of assignments.”
A very popular dance reality show, “Nach Baliye – Season 9,” where she was coupled with Faizal Khan, made her popular in India and elsewhere. In the show she competed against Prince Narula, Urvashi Dholakia, Vindu Dara Singh, Babita Kumari Phogat and Yuvika Chaudhary.
A humble and softspoken Muskaan considers herself a dreamer. She remarks, “I am a dreamer. I have always believed that dreams do come true, so I dream big. I enjoy dreaming.” An avid athlete since childhood, she plays almost every sports. Talking about her liking for sports she says, “I play basketball, I do swimming, I am a dancer and I am a yoga practitioner also. Since childhood I have had a very busy schedule. Always running for something or the other,” she informs.
When asked how challenging it is to sustain a career in the glamour world, she remarks, “It is really challenging indeed, but if you are passionate about your craft then you will sail through.
Modelling, dancing and acting are my passion and I am passionate about my craft. This is what I have always dreamt of since childhood.” When asked what kind of role or genre she would love to do, she quips, “I love to explore different things. I am open to anything. Be it a reality show, or modelling or films. I cannot limit myself in life. I am open to experiment and would love to explore new avenues.” When asked about her choice of food, she bursts out, “I am an Indian food lover, but I have tried the Arabic delicacy falafel in Dubai and I loved that.”
