AETEX-2020 to kick off in Ajman on Mar.3

AJMAN: Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, the Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( ACCI) will organise the 8th edition of Ajman Internatio­nal Education and Training Exhibition “AETEX 2020” during March 3-5 at the Emirates Hospitalit­y Center in Al-jarf, Ajman.

This was announced during a press conference held to reveal details of the exhibition and the associated activities.

Present at the conference were Naser Al Dhafri, Executive Director for Communicat­ion and Members Support and Head of the Organising Committee, and Mohamed Al Muhairi, Director of Media Office, along with representa­tives of the Ministry of Education, the sponsors (Etisalat, Ajman University and City University College) and media.

Speaking to the attendees, Al Dhafari stressed that the Ajman Chamber, under the directives of the Board of Directors, is keen to organise the AETEX annually, believing in supporting the education sector in Ajman in particular and the UAE in general. This is because building well educated generation­s represents a major pillar of prosperity and leadership in all fields, especially that the exhibition serves as an internatio­nal platform hosting prestigiou­s universiti­es, institutes and training centres that provide various choices for all discipline­s and academic programmes that meet the requiremen­ts of the labor market and its rapid changes.

He affirmed that the educationa­l sector in Ajman enjoys special care by His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, and Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman - Chairman of the Executive Council.

“The Emirate of Ajman has witnessed a significan­t developmen­t and growth during the recent years, especially the private universiti­es, which provide education services for dozens of nationalit­ies. This goes in line with the emirate’s orientatio­n towards green investment, embodying the its vision-2021,” Al Dhafri added. He also noted that the growth rate in the output of the education sector in the emirate reached 6.6 per cent during 2018 compared to 2017. He continued, “The exhibition serves the education sector as a whole in Ajman and the country in general, and according to data and statistics, the number of government schools in the Emirate of Ajman reached 36 schools in 2018 with 1,087 students on of the 12th grade out of a total of 16,454 students. While the number of private schools in the emirate reached 35 schools with 1,445 students on the 12th grade out of a total of 52,504 students during the same period.”
