Dubai residents gear up for foodie experience

DUBAI: As the weather in the UAE turns pleasant ahead of the summer, the activities to bring residents for dining out have been set as the Dubai Food Festival is starting from 26th Feb till 14th March. The festival, which is all about food and exotic dishes around the world, will see one of the most anticipated segments, the Dubai Restaurant Week ( DRW).

The restaurant week is a key element of the annual Dubai Food Festival, offering a calendar of exclusive dining experiences offered in partnership with the city’s best restaurants. Running from 5 to 14 March, foodies can take full advantage of bespoke Dubai Restaurant Week menus at an attractive price that saves customers up to 50 per cent when dining out.

The 2020 edition of Dubai Restaurant Week (DRW) features 37 outlets, and menus created exclusively by some of the world’s top culinary masterminds, including five celebrity chefs — Gordon Ramsay, Vikas Khanna, Akira Back, Greg Malouf and Mathieu Viannay.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) says: “Dubai Restaurant Week is at the heart of the Dubai Food Festival.

“The deals are a chance for some of our city’s most impressive restaurants to highlight their best cuisine to a wider audience. Dubai Food Festival embraces inclusivity, and by encouraging restaurants to offer their food at special festival prices, it means we are allowing more people to experience the very best cuisine our city has to offer.”

This year’s participating restaurants are set to take diners on a global gourmet journey reflecting Dubai’s dominance as a world culinary hotspot.” And the list goes on.

Diners can savour unforgettable dishes at unbeatable prices, with two-course lunches offered from just Dhs75, to premium three course dinner experiences from Dhs150.

However, to make the dining experience more authentic, residents are being offered exotic furniture through a wide range of home décor outlets spread throughout the emirate and presenting products around the world. In November, the 4th edition of The Global Franchise Market, TGFM, concluded on a high note, attracting more than 1,600 investors and franchisees from different parts of the world, while also featuring the participation of 80 leading brands, representing a variety of business industries and sectors, according to WAM.

Throughout the two days, the exhibition floor witnessed several successful meetings and lucrative business partnerships and agreements. Golden Fork Seafood Restaurants, a 33-year-old Dubai-based seafood restaurant chain, signed a master franchise agreement with Uganda-based Rawda Holdings Limited.
