ACCI to support sustainability, growth of private sector

AJMAN: The Ajman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) organised an introductory workshop on the “Ajman Chamber Business Award” which is granted under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Humaid Bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, under the slogan “Together Towards Excellence and Leadership”.

Held at a hotel in the presence of representatives of the private sector, the workshop aimed at introducing the categories of the Award and to highlight the importance of participation in it. The Award would further provide the economic sector with the most prominent experiences and pioneering initiatives that support the sustainability and growth of the private sector and enhancing confidence with the local community, the workshop said.

During the session, Head of the Organising Committee of the Ajman Chamber Business Award - Nasser Al Dhafari, Executive Director of Communication Sector and Member Support at Ajman Chamber, stressed the importance of the Award in providing a platform reviewing the best corporate experiences and motivating institutions to follow creative approaches. The Award appreciates the outstanding efforts within 6 categories namely SMES, Commercial Sector, Industrial Sector, Innovation, Emiratisation and CSR, he added. The session also stressed the importance of participating in the Award to enhance the confidence of clients and the public in the winning institutions, to appreciate the leading companies and factories in Ajman, to improve and develop the reputation for commercial activity and to create wide areas of communication and relationships with elite business owners.

The attendees also learned about the Award’s timeline and the deadline for participation that will be end of May-2020, while the winners will be announced on Sept.9, 2020.

The workshop also explained the Award’s steps in terms of selection of the category, the registration and application until announcement of the candidates and finally declaring the winners.
