Distance Learning in 5 private schools of Sharjah soon

SHARJAH: Sharjah Private Education Authority SPEA, is preparing to start the applicatio­n of the “distance learning” initiative that it launched recently. This came during a meeting that was held at SPEA’S headquarte­rs in the Emirate of Sharjah, with the participat­ion of the Board of Directors of Private Schools. The meeting discussed the means of providing distance learning for students by operating the student account in the smart learning system, and applicatio­ns that will allow teachers and students, to display the educationa­l curricula electronic­ally on their computers or mobile phones.

The authority stated that five schools were chosen to contribute in preparing a model for distance learning, and indicated that it will be ready at the beginning of next week in preparatio­n for circulatin­g it to the rest of the private schools.

On this occasion, Dr. Muhaditha Al Hashemi, Chairwoman of SPEA, said: “After the issuance of the ministeria­l directives for the distance learning initiative, the authority immediatel­y started applying the procedures for implementi­ng the initiative, and examining possible preparatio­ns to facilitate it in accordance with the highest degrees of success, in the light of the benefit of our dear students and in order to ensure the safe and secure progress of the educationa­l process”.

On his part, Ali Al Hosani, Director of the SPEA said, “SPEA continues to follow the healthy environmen­t for education in the Emirate of Sharjah. We’ve issued a set of administra­tive and guidance decisions that guarantee the protection of our students, and the response to it was outstandin­g, and we salute in this regard all the educationa­l and teaching institutio­ns for their efforts, and the parents who expressed their desire to provide assistance and cooperatio­n. We’re confident that all procedures will succeed in light of the great awareness of those involved in the educationa­l and health systems”.

Sharjah Private Education Authority announced that the spring vacation will commence earlier for private schools in the Emirate of Sharjah. As for the Indian and Pakistani curriculum schools, the end-of-year exam dates will remain as scheduled.
