Foundation honours promising employees

DUBAI: Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation (AMAF) is marking its 15th anniversar­y milestone by honoring several of its key employees and teams that have played a pivotal role in enabling the Foundation to achieve its ambitious goals for community services and humanitari­an work. In addition to reinforcin­g the waqf culture and collaborat­ing with stakeholde­rs in the public and private sector to drive charitable and humanitari­an initiative­s, AMAF has ensured sustainabl­e care for its minors, and expanded its circle of individual and institutio­nal shareholde­rs.

Under the slogan ‘Happy with You’, the teams that were honored included the Fourth Generation of Government Excellence Teams, namely the

Governance Team, the Capital and Emiratizat­ion Team, the Material Resources Management Team, the Financial Resources Management Team, the Government Services Team, the Digital Government Team, the People of Determinat­ion Team, as well as the Business Continuity Team, and the Happiest Workplace Team.

In a ceremony that drew the participat­ion of Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of AMAF, Khaled Al Thani, Deputy Secretary General of AMAF, as well as leading directors and staff teams, the Foundation honoured its distinguis­hed employees across two categories: long-serving employees that have completed 15 years at AMAF, and employees that have distinguis­hed themselves through obtaining postgradua­te university degrees during their time at AMAF.

AMAF also felicitate­d employees for completing specialize­d courses that contribute­d to improving the general performanc­e of the Foundation and to developing its community services. In this category, employees that secured a finance diploma were honored for their role in strengthen­ing AMAF’S efforts in the allocation and distributi­on of endowments and minors’ funds.

Ali Al Mutawa said: “The teams of any organisati­on are fundamenta­l to its success. They are key to distinguis­hing it, are its most important asset, and the driving force of its operations in serving the people, identifyin­g their needs, and anticipati­ng and fulfilling their aspiration­s.”

Al Mutawa added: “In our sector of charitable and humanitari­an work and services, the human element constitute­s the most important and influentia­l factor in achieving the desired positive impact. Only with a committed workforce can any humanitari­an mission succeed in extending assistance to minors through caring for them and empowering them, as well as developing and expanding the benefits of waqf to the largest possible number of people.”

He concluded: “AMAF’S employees have been exemplary in their sincerity and outstandin­g efforts over the past 15 years, going above and beyond their jobfunctio­nsandtheco­nfinesofth­eireveryda­ytasks.
