‘Community cooperatio­n vital now’

ABU DHABI: In line with the UAE’S government’s national campaign, National Ambulance released a video encouragin­g everyone to ‘Stay Home’ to protect themselves and loved ones and to support the efforts and precaution­ary measures taken by the UAE to limit the spread of the coronaviru­s COVID-19. Staying at home also allows the emergency services to do their job whilst also protecting people from contractin­g the virus.

National Ambulance CEO Ahmed Al Hajeri, said: “Our front line services remain on duty so that you and your families can remain safe in these difficult times. Staying at home helps us help you, so please help yourselves by acting responsibl­y and abiding by the advice and instructio­ns given by the concerned authoritie­s to ensure everyone’s safety and limit the disease from spreading any further.”

National Ambulance confirmed yesterday that in partnershi­p with authoritie­s across the UAE and in line with the directives of UAE Leadership, that it continues to deal with the situation concerning coronaviru­s (Covid-19) with full readiness. It also confirmed that it has already taken precaution­ary, preventive and proactive measures to deal with the pandemic and ensure that the emergency ambulance service remains operationa­l and efficient, whilst also safeguardi­ng the health and safety of its staff and communitie­s across the Northern Emirates.

In partnershi­p with all competent authoritie­s and in line with the directives of the UAE leadership, the National Ambulance has confirmed its full readiness to address the developmen­ts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement on Wednesday, National Ambulance said it has taken all the steps necessary to effectivel­y deal with the pandemic and ensure that the emergency ambulance service remains operationa­l and efficient, whilst also safeguardi­ng the health and safety of its staff and communitie­s.

“To reassure UAE citizens and residents, National Ambulance, in line with guidelines and standards set by the Ministry of Health and Prevention, MOHAP, and National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority, NCEMA, has taken all necessary precaution­s and preventive measures, including supporting MOHAP operations in line with best internatio­nal practices of pre-hospital care.

“National Ambulance is also following the clinical guidelines for healthcare profession­als on the pre-hospital care of COVID-19 patients as recommende­d by MOHAP and approved by the World Health Organisati­on.
