NOC urges federations to use remote communication technologies

-

DUBAI: The UAE’S National Olympic Committee ( NOC) announces its readiness to lend full support to sports federations in holding their important meetings under the prevailing conditions through benefiting from visual communication technology.

The step stems from the keenness of our leaders to observe the highest safety standards across the community.

The NOC is prompted to provide the technological support needed by federations and encourages them to make use of the technology in running their business.

“Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the NOC, directed to spread preventive and healthy concepts and techniques across the sports sector and the entire community. In the public interest, all concerned parties are urged to contribute innovative ideas and solutions to tackle this testing time,” said Mohammed Bin Sulayem, Secretary-general, NOC.

“We have sent out circulars to sports federations urging them to use modern technologies that save much of their time and effort, and at the same time safeguard the health of individuals. We will spare no efforts to lend support to any sports federation, organisation or entity in this regard. We will be happy to cooperate and share expertise with them,” added Sulayem.

“Out of its social responsibility, the NOC supports all measures taken to assist the concerned health bodies to deliver their prevention programmes.

“Like other entities, the NOC took the initiative to contribute an array of ideas and suggestions to mitigate the impact of the current circumstances, especially as regards the holding of important meetings and streamlining remote work using sophisticated technologies,” concluded Sulayem.
