Necessity is must to go out during curfew: Police

SHARJAH: Vehicles that will be monitored on roads during the disinfecti­on period (8 pm - 6 am) will be dealt with separately and individual­ly, according to the situation, need and necessity.

This was confirmed by Major General Saif Al-zari Al-shamsi, Commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, during to a phone call to the direct line on Wednesday. This also came after the Ministry of Interior had cancelled the night work permits on Tuesday.

“In addition to reducing fines, the Sharjah Executive Council approved the abolition of transactio­n fees for the issuance of certificat­es (destructio­n and loss),” he added.

Separately, Mohamed Ahmed Amin, Director General of the Sharjah Chamber for the direct line, said, “The Sharjah Chamber has exempted the participan­ts in the permanent exhibition for national industries in the Sharjah Export Developmen­t Center from the rent for a period of 3 months. All shops, commercial centers and central markets participat­ing in the marketing campaigns organized by the Chamber for 2020 will get 50 enjoy a 50 per cent discount.”

He stressed that the package approved by the Sharjah government came to support private and government investment­s in the emirate, and despite the conditions taking place in the world, the Sharjah provides incentives for all.

Dubai Police, in cooperatio­n with the Community Developmen­t Authority, CDA, has launched ‘Secure Together’, a community-centred service that offers rapid response to requests for assistance from the elderly across Dubai.

The move follows the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, to provide full support and care for senior citizens and residents, and the close follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council.

The new service will prioritise requests from seniors to Dubai Police’s command and control centre for essential support and services including medical aid, disinfecti­on and sanitation services at their residences.
