RTA announces working hours during holidays

DUBAI: Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the business hours of its services during the holiday of Eid Al Fitr covering customers happiness centres, paid parking zones, public buses, metro, tram, marine transport and service provider centres (vehicle testing).

Centres of Service Provider ( technical testing) and Customers Happiness Centres will close from May 22 to 26 and will resume duty on May 27. Smart Centres at Umm Al Ramoul, Deira, Barsha and Head Office will remain operationa­l as usual 24/7 hours.

Metro stations on the Red Line will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 07:00 am to 09:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm. The Green Line will operate from Saturday to Thursday from 07:00 am to 09:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm.

Dubai Tram will be operating on the same timing i.e. from Saturday to Thursday from 07:00 am to 09:00 pm, and on Friday from 10:00 am to 09:00 pm.

During the holiday, all Dubai buses will operate from 06:00 am to 08:00 pm. The services will be operating at main stations i.e. Gold Souq, Al Ghubaiba Stations, and subsidiary stations namely Deira, City Centre, Sabkha, Jebel Ali, Karama, Union Square, and

Satwa. It also covers the Metro Link service at Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Dubai Mall/burj Khalifa, and Etisalat. Route C01 from Satwa will be operating 24/7. All external bus stations will remain closed during the Eid holiday.

Marine transport from May 24 to 26 will be operating as follows: Water Bus at Marina Stations (Marina Mall, Marina Walk, Marina Terrace, Marina Promenade), Dubai Creek stations (Old Dubai Souq–baniyas), and Old Deira Souq (Sabkha-al Fahidi) (Al Seef-baniyas) will operate from 09:00 am to 07:00 pm. The Water Bus will operate at Al JaddafDuba­i Festival City Station from 07:30 am to 07:00 pm.

Traditiona­l abras will operate during the holiday at Old Dubai Souq-sabkha and Old Deira Souq from 06:00 am to 07:00 pm.

Paid parking zones will be free during the holiday, except for multi-level parking terminals from May 22 to 26.

Fees system will be reinstated on May 27, 2020.

Recently, RTA, announced that 41,210 individual­s and families (20,810 individual­s and 20,400 families) amongst categories operating in the first defence line against the coronaviru­s, had benefitted from RTA’S charitable initiative­s in Ramadan, WAM reported.
