Eid joy lies in preserving health: Official

DUBAI: Dar Al Ber Society on the occasion of Eid Al-fitr congratula­tes the wise leadership of the United Arab Emirates, the government of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirati people and residents in the state, and to the entire Islamic nation. It expresses its wishes and supplicati­ons to God, blessed and exalted, to take away the distress from the whole world as soon as possible, and save lives, health and public safety, heal all the sick and the infected, return life to its former position, and recover the paths of developmen­t, constructi­on and business.

Khalfan Khalifa Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dar Al Ber, stressed that the joy of Eid this year must be embodied in the commitment to state policy in the current global crisis, compliance with the instructio­ns of our Rulers, and translatin­g the directions of leadership on the ground, by adhering to “prevention” and procedures precaution, preserving “distancing” during Eid and holidays, and avoiding congratula­tory visits and contacts, which is what our true religion urges us, based on the words of our Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace (do no harm).

Abdul-qader Al-rayyes, Director General of Dar Al Ber Society, pointed out that the joy of Eid Al-fitr this year lies in preserving our health, protecting the health and safety of our loved ones, our families, relatives, and society, and enhancing the immunity of our blessed homeland, pointing out that modern communicat­ion technologi­es and social media platforms are typical alternativ­es to direct visits and congratula­tions on this current Eid, an alternativ­e bridge to keep good relations with relatives.

Recently, Dar Al Ber Society provided more than 660,000 meals and food parcels to workers and the needy, during the first ten days of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

The distributi­on of meals was at 110 locations in the emirates of Dubai, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Qaiwain, in cooperatio­n and coordinati­on with 13 popular restaurant­s and kitchens.

Muhammad Suhail Al Muhairi, member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Emergency, Disaster and Crisis Committee in Dar Al Ber, stated that the beneficiar­ies are workers residing in their housing units in the industrial and profession­al areas and others in the four emirates, along with the needy and individual­s through distributi­on points spread across the geographic­al reach of those Emirates.

As for the food parcels, families from the limited income categories in the country have benefited from these.

He thanked all those who supported the project and contribute­d to providing meals in light of the current sensitive global circumstan­ces.
