14 Africans arrested for attacking with white weapons
DUBAI: Dubai Police have arrested fourteen young African nationals for initiating an attack with white weapons against two young men of another African nationality.
Both victims sustained moderate injuries and were transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
The offenders have been referred to the concerned authority for legal action.
The police are investigating what prompted them to resort to such heinous crime.
The Dubai Police hereby urge community members to report any offensive or harmful behaviour to the emergency number 999.
The police have also said that they will not tolerate any kind of illicit activities that harm any individual or the member of the community.
In February, Dubai Police arrested an African gang of nine fraudsters specialised in a cyber scam after they had run 81 fake businesses across 18 countries around the world.
Dubbed “Fox Hunt,” the operation revealed a hidden online fraud network which deceived victims into transferring money in return for job opportunities. The gang used multiple bank accounts to make money transfers and deposits totalling more than Dhs32 million.
TRA’S ACHIEVEMENT
The Customer Happiness Section at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, TRA, has obtained four certifications from the British Standards Institution (BSI), namely: ISO 10001 Customer Charter Management, ISO 10002 Customer Complaint Management, ISO 18295-1 Customer Contact Centers, and ISO 10003 Dispute Resolution.
This accolade comes after the Customer Happiness Section underwent internal and external audits, which included TRA’S efforts in customer service and happiness, following up the mechanism for dealing with incoming complaints, and the extent to which the Customer Happiness Charter is applied.
It was also due to the role of the call center in responding to customer inquiries and following up cases, in order to achieve customer happiness and satisfaction.
