SPEED VS SAFETY

The author makes a strong case for not hurrying with a magic bullet for coronavirus. Speed versus safety could invite more harm than good (“What science tells us on finding a suitable vaccine,” May 28, Gulf Today).

The virus has brought the world to a standstill and everyone is waiting with baited breath for a vaccine. But a vaccine takes years to come about. It’s wise to wait.
