STATESMAN’S SPEECH

-

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan’s speech at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly was a statesman’s speech (“PM’S speech most viewed on UN’S Youtube,” Oct. 2, Gulf Today).

In the beginning, when Imran Khan was not a prime minister but only a cricketer-turned politician andthefounderofpakistantehreek-e-insaf(pakistan Movement for Justice) party, I thought Imran Khan is an honest person and believes in hard work. But now, ater watching his speech at the75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, I realised that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan is not only an honest and hard-working person, but also he is sharp, smart and has a God Almighty fearing heart. He is on a mission to raise his voice for vulnerable people around the world.

Being at the top of the list, and the most viewed Imran Khan’s speech at the 75th session of the United Nations General Assembly, shows that Imran Khan has righfully addressed the ongoing disputes in the world and has become the voice of vulnerable people.

Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly is the mostwatched video among world leaders on the UN’S Youtube page with over 170,000 views since it was uploaded on the plaform on Sept.25.

Coming in second is US President Donald Trump’s address with close to 140,000 views since it was uploaded on Sept.22. In third place is Indonesian President Joko Widodo’s speech, which has over 95,000 views since it was uploaded on Sept.23. The burning issues of the world including ongoing long wars between different countries should be addressed in the best interest of the world. The world is already going through its worst pandemic in which millions of people have died and billions of people are under treatment.

One of the topics of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech was global warming, climate change. The burning issue of climate change is becoming worse day by day. The world still has time to act together and slow the pace of climate change.
