Manager booked for attempting to end life

DUBAI: A 27-year-old Asian manager was arrested and referred to the Criminal Court for threatening to burn himself and burn down his company with benzene in Dubai.

Details of the incident indicate that the defendant was in a furious state for not receiving his dues, and decided to head to the company’s accounting office with a gallon of benzene and threaten to set himself on fire.

The terrified employees immediately called police to place the defendant under arrest before he could commit his intended crime.

Police officers apprehended the defendant, who admited to his intention and is now being tried.

MAID FILMS EMPLOYER’S FAMILY: A 27-yearold African maid was arrested and referred to the Criminal Court for secretly filming her employer’s family during their sleep, and threatening to hurt herself with a knife in Dubai.

Details of the incident date back to last August, when the house owner asked the defendant to return the phone that she previously bought for her; ater which the defendant seemed nervous and lied about the phone’s location.

Ater searching the defendant’s room, the phone was found hidden in her underwear; and this is when the defendant lost her nerves and ran to the kitchen to grab a knife and threaten to kill herself along with her employer.

The dramatic scene was made ater the housewife managed to take the phone from the defendant by force.

Upon reporting the incident to police, the housewife learnt that the real reason behind the defendant’s sudden act of violence was the secret pictures taken by the defendant for all members of the family.

Apparently, the defendant takes pictures of the house and her employer’s kids, then sends them to her friends through Whatsapp.

The house wife also found out that the defendant had secretly sneaked some of her friends inside their family house; some of the pictures on her phone revealed her actions.
