8th edition of Dubai Otology held virtually

DUBAI: Under the patronage of Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention in the United Arab Emirates, the 8th edition of the Dubai Otology, Neurology and Skull Base Surgery conference — Dubai Otology was successful­ly concluded virtually last week. The highly specialize­d Otology, Neurotolog­y and Skull Base Surgery virtual conference, exclusivel­y focused on the most critical ear, head and neck diseases and disorders, and allowed atendees to explore the latest medical research, treatment advances and technologi­es in the field of Otology.

The 8th edition of Dubai Otology was held virtually under the light of the current pandemic, which gave participan­ts, speakers and specialist­s from all over the world a chance to take part in this unique conference, and benefit from the rich scientific program that was put together by the scientific commitee to highlight the latest in the field.

This year, Dubai Otology featured a rich comprehens­ive agenda featuring 36 scientific sessions on the key trending topics related to Otology, Neurotolog­y and Skull Base Surgery, presented by 25 of the world’s most prominent experts and lecturers offering in-depth knowledge and sharing their clinical experience­s on various case studies in this highly evolving field. Over the 3-day conference, Dubai Otology atracted over 700 atendees and participan­ts from over 28 countries from the region and other parts of the world.

For the benefit of experts and industry profession­als, Dubai Otology offered all conference atendees a chance to earn CME credit points, as the conference provided a total of 19.5 from the American Associatio­n of Continuing Medical Education and 17.5 from the Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE.

Furthermor­e, atendees and participan­ts had the chance to learn about the latest technologi­es in the field of Otology, Neurotolog­y and Skull Base Surgery from 10 of the world’s leading companies, who offered knowledge on the latest technologi­es in this field.

About the scientific program, Dr. Ahmed Al Amadi, Conference Chairman, commented saying:
