UAE continues to shine as a beacon of prosperity and achievemen­ts

The UAE has become a symbol of prosperity and achievemen­ts in the past 49 years. Today the adorable country is celebratin­g its 49th National Day.

Sheikha Hind Bint Majid Al Qasimi, Chairperso­n of Sharjah Business Women Council (SBWC) told Gulf Today that under the UAE’S wise and ambitious leadership, the country’s remarkable achievemen­ts in priority sectors have enhanced its dominance in the economic and socio-cultural spheres at both the regional and global levels. The celebratio­n of the UAE National Day on December 2 each year, she added, is an opportunit­y for UAE citizens to renew their loyalty to their country and commemorat­e the leaders who laid the solid foundation­s of the country 49 years ago.”

Marwan Bin Jassim Al Sarkal, Executive Chairman of Sharjah Investment and Developmen­t Authority (Shurooq), said: We congratula­te our leadership, citizens and residents on the 49th UAE National Day, as we aspire for bigger achievemen­ts and more global praise in years to come. The UAE today enjoys a leading position on both regional and internatio­nal levels – an outcome of the consistent efforts of our dedicated leaders and people – to place our nation among the top rank holders in terms of global competitiv­eness. Four factors, namely, economic performanc­e, the government’s efficiency, growth of diversifie­d businesses and a world-class infrastruc­ture have catalysed national developmen­t, puting us strongly on the map.

Reem Binkaram, Director of NAMA Women Advancemen­t Establishm­ent has turned the spotlight on the milestone achievemen­ts of the nation’s women over the past five decades to reinforce UAE’S position as a global leader.

Bin Karam said: “The UAE National Day is a significan­t, historic observance not only for the nation, but the region and the world. It marks the birth of a concept of progress based on true partnershi­p and collaborat­ion among all members of society, of investment in human capital, and an era of exemplary achievemen­ts in ataining gender equity.”

“Today is a day to reflect on the various noble causes the union of the UAE has supported and promoted worldwide, review our many achievemen­ts and pave the way for successive generation­s to build on them.”

“As special an occasion this is for all Emirati citizens, the UAE National Day is especially significan­t for women across the nation – a reminder of how the Union has upheld cultural identity and heritage while transformi­ng their lives by formulatin­g policies and legations to offer us a vibrant landscape to learn, achieve, participat­e and contribute to our fullest potential – surpassing the convention­al definition­s of women’s empowermen­t.”

Najla Al Midfa, CEO of Sharjah Entreprene­urship Center (Sheraa), said: “The UAE National Day is as much a time of reflection as it is a time of celebratio­n. Marking the historic moment of our beloved nation’s union, it is a reminder of the foundation­al values that are still deeply rooted in our culture today: unity, tolerance, generosity, and a commitment to progress for all our people. These values, and our forwardthi­nking leaders who uphold them, are what have led to the UAE so rapidly becoming one of the most developed countries in the world.”

Amin Al Zarouni, CEO, Sahab Smart Solutions, stated that the UAE National Day is an annual opportunit­y to reminisce the unparallel­ed achievemen­ts of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in shaping the identity of the nation – a winning streak that has flourished for 49 years under the wise guidance of successive national leadership. National efforts continue to be exerted at both the government and private levels to the advance the UAE’S knowledge economy and digital transforma­tion as an engine for sustainabl­e economic developmen­t in accordance with the goals set forth in UAE Vision 2021 and the UAE 2071.
