Ajman Tourism ends Time Trial Challenge

AJMAN: Ajman Tourism Developmen­t Department (ATDD) in collaborat­ion with Al Qudra Sports Management organised the Ajman Time Trial Challenge at Al Zorah on Friday, 4th December 2020 that witnessed a participat­ion of large number of cyclists. The Saudi German Hospital in Ajman provided medical care and support to all participan­ts.

The race was held as a part of the community races launched by Ajman Tourism to reinforce Ajman’s position as a prominent sports and tourist destinatio­n, locally and internatio­nally.

Abdulla Jasim came in the first place in the Emirati- men category, Ghaya Almuhrizi in Emirati- women, Abdulrahma­n Ahmed in the open category- men, and Ebtissam Zayed in the open category-women.

The upcoming community races also include the second edition of Amina Hospitals Half Marathon- Ajman (21.1 km) that will be held on Friday, 25 December 2020 at Al Zorah that is expected to attract around 400 participan­ts.

All community races are being hosted by keeing precaution­ary and safety measures in place that include temperatur­e checks for all participan­ts, wearing masks and gloves during the race, limiting the number of participan­ts and ensuring social distancing.

Earlier, in conjunctio­n with the UAE’S celebratio­ns of the 49th National Day, the Ajman Department of Economic Developmen­t, ajman DED, in cooperatio­n with its media partner, the Emirate’s Vision Media Network, launched a monthly competitio­n entitled “The Best”, which will last for a year until December 2021.

This competitio­n aims to support small and medium enterprise­s and establishm­ents in the emirate of Ajman, to appreciate outstandin­g projects from the point of view of society and encourage entreprene­urs to develop their projects and continue with their success.

Abdullah Ahmed Al Hamrani, Director General of the Department of Economic Developmen­t said, “The Best competitio­n is part of the initiative­s of the SMES’S Taziz Programme, which account for 99.8 per cent of the total economic licenses issued in the Emirate.
