At 51, Jennifer realises she didn’t love herself in her 30s

Singer-actress Jennifer Lopez has opened up about atending therapy throughout her 30s, and although she believed at the time she had plenty of self-love, she now understand­s her personal relationsh­ips were not ideal. “I remember when I was going through therapy at the beginning, you know, kind of in my late 30s and there was a lot of talk about loving yourself and I was like, ‘I love myself,” Lopez told purpose coach Jay Shety for #Coachconve­rsations, reports femalefirs­t.co.uk.

The 51-year-old pop star added: “But obviously I was doing all these things in like my personal relationsh­ips that didn’t seem like I was loving myself, but I didn’t even understand the concept of it. It took time and it’s a journey and it’s still a journey for me.” Although Lopez did not share the relationsh­ip she was referring to, it is widely assumed she could have been referencin­g her marriage to singer Marc Anthony, with whom she has two children Emme and Max. She is now engaged to baseball star Alex Rodriguez. Lopez had previously talked about batling with “finding forgivenes­s” ater the end of her marriage, but said that she still has love for Anthony because he is the father of her children. Meanwhile, Lopez has shut down trolls who have claimed that she has had botox treatment. She also said that she has never gone under the knife.

It all started over the weekend when the 51-yearold star posted a video that shows her using one of the products from her recently-launched skincare brand, JLO Beauty.

“Okay I just took off the mask. Honestly, I cannot even see a line on my face. Soon, the star started geting comments from users claiming that Lopez actually used Botox to achieve her look. “You definitely have Botox. And tons of it,” one user wrote in the comments section. Lopez shut the troll down writing: “LOL that’s just my face!!! For the 500 millionth time...i have never done Botox or any injectable­s or surgery!! In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), and subsequent­ly establishe­d herself as one of the highest-paid Latin actresses worldwide.
