Healthcare provider launches wellness drive

DUBAI: The AKCAF Wellness Programme was launched on Feb.19, 2021 in associatio­n with Aster DM Healthcare’s Aster Volunteers programme. The virtual event conducted by video conferenci­ng was atended by over 500 patrons and was inaugurate­d by the Minister of Health for the State of Kerala, Smt K. K.shailaja. The wellness programme was a memorial tribute to Ahmed Ashraf, a senior and active member of AKCAF who passed away recently. The various programmes implemente­d for the health and wellness of AKCAF members and their families were explained at the meeting. AKCAF is the parent organisati­on of 200+ Kerala colleges alumni living in the UAE.

Dr Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Aster DM Healthcare, Shahul Hameed, AKCAF Chairman and on behalf of Ashraf Thamarasse­ry, Brand Ambassador AKCAF Wellness Programmr and Social Welfare volunteer and AKCAF Vice president Adv. Hashiq also spoke on the occasion.

Mithun Ramesh, AKCAF Events Ambassador, famous anchor and filmstar, specially appreciate­d AKCAF’S humanitari­an activities. He initiated a fitness challenge with AKCAF General Secretary VS Biju Kumar. Charles Paul, Hon President of AKCAF said, “This is the first healthcare campaign for the AKCAF family and it is a pious act.” On behalf of the media, Raju Mathew, MCA Nazar and Jaleel Patambi atended the programme. Puthusseri detailed the Covid vaccine distributi­on volunteeri­ng joined with DHA. AKCAF Aster CSR Head Jaleel and Aster DGM Siraj atended the programme. AKCAF chief coordinato­r Anoop Anil Devan explained the reasons and how we reached a wellness programme for the community. Ladies wing chairman Rani Sudheer and President Annu Pramod narrated the benefits provided by Aster for the community during the campaign.
