Paris Hilton is still feeling some kind of a way about a past conversation that went off the rails. The reality TV trailblazer and business mogul used the latest episode of her podcast to open up about a nearly 15-yearold interview she had with late night talk show host David Leterman. Hilton claims the public relations team at CBS’ “The Late Show” had been ater her to appear but she “kept saying no.” She finally agreed when it was time to promote a new fragrance she was releasing – only if Letterman promised not to bring up her time in jail for violating probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.

“There was not supposed to be one question (about the sentence), and then he just kept pushing me and pushing me and I was just geting so uncomfortable, and I was so upset,” the 40-year-old New York City native shared. “It was like he was just purposely trying to humiliate me.”

“It was just very cruel and very mean,” she furthered. “Ater it ended, I just looked at him, and I said, ‘I am never coming on this show again. You’ve crossed the line.’ I didn’t tell him off because I’m not that type of person, but I got angry.” Hilton insisted Leterman would have a harder time geting away with that interview if it happened today.

“It’s such a different world now,” the celebrity socialite, who voted for former President Donald Trump, said. Hilton admited that she eventually returned to Leterman’s show ater he profusely apologised, describing the next interview as “so much beter.” Leterman is currently the host of the Neflix chafest “My Next Guest Needs No

Introduction with David Leterman.” Since the series launched in 2018, it has atracted high-watage stars including Kanye West, Lizzo, George Clooney, Howard Stern and former President Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, Paris Hilton had received a special git for her 40th birthday: an engagement recently. Hilton announced her engagement to entrepreneur Carter Reum in her social media post on Wednesday — the same day as her birthday. She said on her website that the proposal was everything she had “dreamed of.” Hilton said she and Reum took a pre-dinner walk on the beach before he dropped to one knee at a cabana with flowers. She said the proposal was followed by a celebration with family and close friends. “There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with,” she said in the post. Hilton shared a series of photos with her wearing a white dress and crown, while 40-year-old Reum sported an all-white suit. The couple have been dating since 2019. Hilton is a great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels. Born in New York City, raised there and in Beverly Hills, California, Hilton began her modelling career as a teenager when she signed with New York-based modeling development agency Trump Model Management. David Lachapelle soon photographed her for the September 2000 issue of Vanity Fair. Her latenight persona and reputation as a socialite made her a fixture of tabloid journalism, and Hilton was proclaimed “New York’s leading It Girl” in 2001.
