Cabinet revamps United Arab Emirates University Council

ABU DHABI: The UAE Cabinet has adopted a resolution to reconstitu­te the Council of the United Arab Emirates University for a period of three years. Its Chair is Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Cultural Adviser to His Highness The President of the UAE and Chancellor of the United Arab Emirates University.

This resolution is set in the context of the University’s endeavour to advance its pioneering role as the national flagship university, its vision to serve the requiremen­ts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and its commitment to developing an educationa­l process that meets the demands of this strategy.

THE UNIVERSITY COUNCIL MEMBERS ARE:

1. Mariam Bint Mohammed Al Mheiri: Minister of State for Food and Water Security

2. Saeed Al Bahri Salem Al Ameri: Director General of the Abu Dhabi Agricultur­e and Food Safety Authority

3. Tariq Abdul Qadir Bin Hindi: Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office

4. Mona Ghanem Al Marri: Director General of the Dubai Government Media Office

5. Dr. Abdulla Al Karam: Director General of the Knowledge and Human Developmen­t Authority

6. Saeed Rashid Al Yateem: Assistant Undersecre­tary for Resources and Budget Affairs at the Ministry of Finance

7. Faisal Abdulaziz Al-bannai: Ceo/managing

The United Arab Emirates University is the nation’s flagship university. It was founded in 1976 by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul.
