THE NEAR FUTURE

Interesting article on population and what the future could look like with less people around and possibly more robots (“Shrinking populations are bad for global economy”, April 4, Gulf Today).

There is substantial reporting on the adverse outcome of booming population in China and India, but decreasing population in first countries is also a cause of concern. And a balance needs to be maintained. Easier said than done, I guess, with wealthy countries closing their borders.
