UAE announces 1,973 new COVID-19 cases
ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) announced that it conducted 202,068 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.
In a statement, the Ministry stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment. As part of its intensifiedtestingcampaign,mohapannounced1,973 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 506,845.
According to the Ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care.
Mohapalsoannounced2deathsduetocovid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,567.
The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
MOHAP also noted that an additional 1,744 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 488,664.
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has announced that 105,443 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 10,106,684 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 102.19 doses per 100 people.
This is in line with the Ministry’s plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to all members of society and efforts to reach acquired immunity resulting from the vaccination, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the COVID-19 virus.

The announcement underscores the success of the campaign, which aims to achieve herd immunity and ensure recovery from the pandemic.
