The Ramadan Nights 2021, the ultimate shopping, entertainment, culinary and cultural destination for 17 nights, the region’s largest and most popular Ramadan fair, was launched on Thursday at the Expo Centre Sharjah amid a terrific festive atmosphere.

Organised and hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah from April 22 until May 8 with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Ramadan Nights caters for all the needs of shoppers and visitors and offer some incredible deals on a wide range of products, including fashion, sports equipment, handicrat products, artefacts, home appliances, food, and traditional Emirati dishes.

The opening was atended by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Chairman of Expo Centre, Waleed Abdul Rahman Bukhatir, SCCI Second Vice-chairman, board members of the Chamber and the Expo Centre, Saif Mohamed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Jamal Bu Zinjal, Head of SCCI Media Department, and Sultan Shataf, Sales and Marketing Director, Expo Centre Sharjah, where they toured the exhibition pavilions and met with exhibitors who briefed them on the offered products.

This year’s Ramadan Nights features more than 300 exhibitors who are displaying more than 1,000 brands at nearly 10,000 sq m of exhibition space, with exclusive and huge discounts of up to 70 per cent on leading brands and a chance to win a luxurious BMW car, shopping vouchers and other valuable prizes in raffle draws.

Speaking on the launch, Abdallah Sultan Al Owais said, “The Ramadan Nights 2021, which is an integral part of the larger Sharjah Ramadan Festival, aims to boost retail traffic and sales and domestic tourism across the emirate, in addition to spreading an atmosphere of happiness and joy during the Holy Month of Ramadan.”

“The considerable number of leading retail brands participating in the event clearly reflects the outstanding reputation and status of the exhibition as one of the most prominent shopping destinations in the country. It also demonstrates the high professionalism of the Expo Centre in organising activities and events in such extraordinary circumstances, thanks to the strict implementation of precautionary and preventive measures to ensure the health and safety of everyone,” he added.

“The Ramadan Nights has over the years emerged as the region’s only plaform where all your requirements ranging from shopping to entertainment and food to fun are available under a single roof, encouraging families and groups to spend their entire evenings at the venue. The exhibition is perfectly timed to tap into the surge in demand for everything that you need to observe the holy month and celebrate the ensuing festival marking Eid Al Fitr,” said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

“I hope the exhibition will cater for the needs and aspirations of both visitors and exhibitors, especially in light of the Centre’s keenness to bring together under a single roof a wide range of leading local and international brands, to ensure that shoppers and visitors enjoy a unique shopping experience in a safe environment and fantastic atmosphere,” added Al Midfa.

“At the Ramadan Nights Exhibition, residents can expect their favourite brands and retailers.

Being a consumer fair, we are engaging with our target audience 24x7 and rewarding them handsomely. Social media is our favourite meeting place, and those active on Instagram can take home an iphone 12 Pro by participating in our ‘Tag Your Friends’ Instagram contest,” said Sultan Shataf.

He added: “Stay tuned to Sharjah FM’S ‘Atheer’ programme and lucky listeners can win shopping vouchers that can be redeemed at the Ramadan Nights. The exhibition also offers shopping vouchers and other valuable prizes in raffle draws, by spending as low as Dhs100 at the stalls.”

The Ramadan Nights will be open for visitors from 8 pm to 1 am daily. Car parking is free.

Separately, Global Village, the UAE and wider region’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, is set to celebrate Ramadan with guests for the first time in recent memory.

With the park open until May 2nd, families will have plenty of opportunity to discover Ramadan cultures and traditions from a multitude of different countries.
