Ajman University inks pact on scholarshi­ps

AJMAN: Ajman University (AU) and Ajman’s Citizens Affairs Office have signed an MOU to support Emirati students with scholarshi­ps, different programme discounts. The MOU aims to exchange experience­s and benefit from the scientific, research, practical and profession­al capabiliti­es of the two parties.

The MOU was signed by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman’s Citizens Affairs Office and Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University.

Maryam Ali Al-mamari, Executive Director of Ajman’s Citizens Affairs Office and Dr. Abdulhaq B. Alkatan Alnuaimi, AU Vicechance­llor for Communicat­ion and Community Affairs, were present while signing the MOU.

On this occasion, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Majid Bin Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of Ajman’s Citizens said: “Signing this MOU reflects Citizens Affairs Office’s keenness to communicat­e with the most prestigiou­s institutio­ns and universiti­es, on top of which Ajman University is. AU represents a pioneering educationa­l and academic institutio­n not only in the Emirate of Ajman but also in the UAE and the region for providing the best educationa­l standards to students.”

Al Nuaimi explained further, “The MOU includes a number of scholarshi­ps and discounts for students aiming to study at Ajman University and those nominated by the Office of Citizens’ Affairs according to the office’s regulation­s & rules.”

“AU is aligned with the vison and goals of citizens affairs office and is commited towards its social responsibi­lity towards the UAE community. We are commited to offer the best educationa­l programmes with the highest internatio­nal standards to Emirati students though this MOU,” said Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University.

In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, Ajman University successful­ly continued its commitment towards strategic partners and members to ensure the best quality practices and best academic achievemen­ts.

Ajman University will continue to take quality to new levels, where an environmen­t of excellence is embedded among students, faculty, staff members apart from all stakeholde­rs and partners.
