Innovation in Dubai Police is an essential approach to improving performance and maintaining the standard and position achieved by Dubai Police for continuous pursuit of the best, he added.

Al Marri said so during his launch of the ‘External Innovation Plaform’ in Dubai Police’s Innovation Lab in the presence of Brigadier General Ahmed Rafie, Acting Assistant Commander-in-chief for Administration Affairs, Brigadier General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, a number of officers and 10 participants from 10 countries. The launch marks the preparations for the celebration of the UAE’S 50th founding anniversary and the golden jubilee of the Ministry of Interior.

A dedicated commitee made up of innovation experts from Dubai Police will evaluate the submited ideas and projects and select the best idea for each of the challenges listed in the plaform, he said.

The best idea will entitle its owner to receive a financial reward of Dhs25,000 for each challenge, he added noting that external participants can login and register in the plaform through the website htps://innovation.dubaipolice. gov.ae, where they would see the challenges that would be placed on the plaform on a continuous basis.
