AD CP orders disbursement of housing loans to citizens
ABU DHABI: Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, ordered the first disbursement of housing loans in 2021 to citizens in Abu Dhabi.
Retirees and families of deceased mortgagors were to be exempt from loan repayments.
The total value of the loans and exemptions is Dhs2.21 billion, with 1,656 citizens to benefit.
SCHOOLS REOPEN: Ajman has decided to resume schools with 50 per cent capacity in all private institutions.
In coordination between the Ministry of Education and the local emergency, crisis and disaster team in Ajman, the authorities decided to resume school activities in private schools in the emirate, provided that the capacity for students and workers did not exceed 50 per cent, while adhering to all precautionary measures and measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
The decision to resume the study comes within a comprehensive plan based on the educational institutions’ commitment to precautionary measures and preventive measures, in the interest of the Ministry of Education and the local emergency, crisis and disaster team to secure the health and safety of students, with close follow-up of the developments of the new coronavirus, to ensure the highest standards of safety and protection.
The authorities will carry out regular checkups of students, all workers in the educational field, including educational and administrative staff and aid workers for smooth governance.
In January, students in Dubai and Sharjah returned to schools ater a three-week winter break. It was a welcome sign to see the school buses plying the roads once again, albeit the vehicles were half-full to maintain the physical distancing measures advised by the authorities.
Signage were placed in schools reminding students to maintain social distancing, wear the mask and practice hand sanitasation in order to stay safe while atending the class in-person.
