Al Montazah Parks to reopen ‘Pearl Kingdom’ during Eid

With new slides and enhanced visitor experience­s, ‘Pearl Kingdom’ Water Park at Sharjah’s Al Montazah Parks will reopen its gates to the public on the first day of Eid Al Fitr. Following the reopening, special shows and performanc­es will be held during the first 3 days of Eid.

Rated as the world’s 7th best water park by Tripadviso­r, Pearl Kingdom has added several new features to its list during the renovation, including a new F & B café. The park now features slides with neon ring lights and 8 new tube slide atractions. A temperatur­e control feature is added to all the pools in the water park, ensuring the safety of thrill-seekers. Adding awesomenes­s to the visitor experience­s, new picture experience­s are also added around the park.

Offering residents and tourists of all age groups a plethora of enjoyment and entertainm­ent, special shows and performanc­e, including acrobatic shows, foam activities, and colourful parades will be organised during the first 3 days of Eid Al Fitr. Four shows will be featured at 4.30pm, 6pm, 7.30pm and 9pm respective­ly.

‘Ladies Day’, reserving the water park every Tuesday exclusivel­y for ladies and their children to privately enjoy the water park’s various facilities in a safe, comfortabl­e environmen­t will begin from 25 May.

Khalid Al Qaseer, Manager of Al Montazah Parks, said: “The renovation work at the Pearl Kingdom is complete, and we are ready to welcome guests. New slides and enhanced experience­s at Sharjah’s premier family destinatio­n are unique and will keep the whole family entertaine­d throughout their visit. We have also ensured a safe and worry-free environmen­t, with magical family experience­s.”

The destinatio­n has also revised its ticket prices as Dhs150 for adults and Dhs120 for kids. Kids below 80cm in height are entitled to a free entry. With an upgrade in activities and experience­s, the park aims to add more fuel to the tourism sector revival and ensure internatio­nal standards.

Operated under Sharjah Investment and Developmen­t Authority (Shurooq), Al Montazah Parks plays a vital role in enhancing the tourism landscape of the Emirate and the UAE. This landmark destinatio­n was first launched in 1979 and over four decades, it has constantly transforme­d and upgraded its facilities and atractions to meet internatio­nal safety standards while offering visitors a fantastic time.

An earlier report said Al Montazah Parks, Sharjah’s impressive leisure and amusement destinatio­n, would be closed during the Holy Month of Ramadan for regular maintenanc­e work and expansion of existing games and facilities.

The next season of “Ladies Day” will continue until Oct.12. Additional activities and events will be announced later.

A recent report said Sharjah Investment and Developmen­t Authority (Shurooq) has unveiled a host of exciting and safe spring break activities for children and families.

Keeping the health and safety of the children paramount, and in adherence to all precaution­ary COVID-19 protocols, Shurooq has designed a range of creative activities, both paid and free-to-atend sessions, to keep children engaged throughout the annual spring break.

Until 10th April, four of Shurooq’s leisure and entertainm­ent destinatio­ns – Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, Khor Fakkan Beach and Al Montazah Parks – will welcome children and families with an exciting range of workshops and fun activities to stimulate the imaginatio­n and nurture creativity.

Announcing the launch of the campaign, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, COO of Shurooq, said, “For all visitors, tourists, and residents in Sharjah and across the UAE, Shurooq is launching a series of spring break activities for children and families in strictly safe and secure environmen­ts.

“To maintain a healthy environmen­t to reduce risk of COVID-19, sanitisati­on measures implemente­d at each of the venues will be of the highest hygiene standards. A dedicated team will work round the clock to ensure that safety measures are implemente­d across the venues efficientl­y. In addition, all children’s facilities and play areas will be sanitised on an hourly basis, daily,” he added.
