Seha provides Pfizer vaccine in UAE centres

ABU DHABI: The Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), the UAE’S largest health care network, in coordinati­on and cooperatio­n with the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi, announced the availabili­ty of the Pfizer-biontech COVID-19 vaccine at Dubai Parks Centre and the National Screening Centre in Ajman that are affiliatin­g with Seha.

Those wishing to receive the vaccine can book an appointmen­t through the “Seha” applicatio­n at these two centres, Seha said.

It stressed the importance of taking the COVID-19 vaccine in order to speed up the recovery process in the UAE and protect members of the community.

In Abu Dhabi city, the Pfizer vaccine is available at Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha) facilities at Al Zaafaranah Diagnostic and Screening Centre, Madinat Mohamed Bin Zayed Healthcare Centre and Al Bahia Healthcare Centre.

The Seha centres in Al Ain that are offering the jab include Oud Al Touba Diagnostic and Screening Centre and Neima Healthcare Centre.

In Al Dhafra, the Seha centre where the Pfizer jab is available is at Al Dhafra Family Medicine Centre.

For appointmen­ts at Seha centres, individual­s must call 800 50.

All members of the community can receive the “Pfizer-biontech” vaccine, except for people who are active COVID-19 patients, participan­ts in vaccine clinical trials, pregnant women, recipients of a vaccine outside the country, former COVID-19 patients following medical evaluation, those who have previously had severe allergies to vaccines or components of vaccines, those who have diseases that may be incompatib­le with the vaccine following medical evaluation, and children under 16 years of age.

Earlier, Ambulatory Healthcare Services, a Seha healthcare facility, announced the opening of a new drive-through screening centre in Al Sarouj area in Al Ain.

The new centre is composed of 6 tracks: 2 for vaccinatio­n and 4 for PCR nose swab and DPI laserbased testing with a capacity of 200 vaccinatio­ns and 800 nose swabs and laser tests per day.

The centre welcomes clients from Saturday to Thursday from 10am to 4pm and from 8pm to 1am during Ramadan, while operating hours will change ater Ramadan to be from Saturday and Thursday from 8am to 8pm.

Ambulatory healthcare services also announced the closure of the Seha Drive-through Screening Center in Al Masoudi effective Friday May 30.
