Public sector to get 4-day holiday for Eid Al Adha
ABU DHABI: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced that the paid holiday of Eid Al Adha for the private sector will start on 9th Dhu Al Hijjah (Day of Arafat), corresponding to Monday, July 19, and will end on Thursday, July 22.
The Eid Al Adha holiday for federal ministries and entities will begin on Monday, July 19 (Day of Arafat), and will end on Thursday, July 22, the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced on Sunday.
In a circular, the authority said that work for all federal ministries and entities will resume on Sunday, July 25.
The authority also greeted President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum; His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces; Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates; and the people of the UAE and Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion.
UAE TOPS IN EDUCATION: Hussain Bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, stressed that four international organisations that specialise in monitoring global competitiveness have ranked the UAE among the top 20 countries in the field of education, according to recent international competitiveness reports, adding that this is a well deserved national achievement.
“The efforts of the UAE’S leadership since the establishment of the country have focused on creating a modern country based on a cultured and educated population and a competitive education system, whose outcomes are being enjoyed today,” he said.
The UAE was ranked first globally in the rates of enrolment in primary education, literacy and number of international higher education students, as well as first place globally in the rate of completion of the primary stage, he further added, noting that the country’s education system has also atained several advanced positions in many other indicators.
