Concerts to regale audiences at DSS

DUBAI: Some of the biggest names in music will take to the stage this Eid Al Adha as part of Dubai Summer Surprises’ (DSS) super selection of great live music shows.

The city’s best venues will welcome music lovers of all ages and nationalit­ies to enjoy extra special concerts that will celebrate the extra-long public holiday and the summer long retail festival.

With four shows lined up, this Eid Al Adha will be filled with great entertainm­ent, classic songs and some of the biggest and most popular contempora­ry hits with audiences invited to sing along with their favourite musical icons.

Fans of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will enjoy a double bill of concerts when he performs at the Coca-cola Arena in City Walk this Eid Al Adha. Rahat will delight fans with his ‘ Just Qawali’ show on 21 July and his ‘Just Bollywood’ concert on 23 July. The Coca-cola Arena will welcome Arabic music fans this Eid Al Adha with the Cairobelle show. The multi-artist concert will feature Cairokee, one of the region’s best rock bands, and Hassan Shakosh. The show will be staged on 22 July. Tickets are available from visit.dubai.com

The Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre will host three of the Arabic music scene’s best -loved performers in a concert featuring Wael Kfoury, Melhem Zein and Mouhamad Khairy. The singers will share the stage for what promises to be a superb evening of live entertainm­ent on 23 July. Tickets are priced from Dhs400 and can be purchased from platinumli­st.net and visitdubai. com Also on 23 July, Dubai World Trade Centre will swing to the sounds of pop icons Waleed al Shami and Aseel Hameem. The special Eid Al Adha concert by two favourites of the region’s pop scene will feature a host of famous Arabic pop songs as well as versions of internatio­nal hits. Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishm­ent (DFRE), all of the stores, malls and live venues taking part in this year’s Eid

Al Adha festivitie­s and DSS will follow all of the important health and safety rules including social distancing and the wearing of masks at all times. Internatio­nal Circus Shows at Mercato enthralled media and their families with mesmerisin­g performanc­es during the 24th edition of DSS ongoing activities.
