SHARJAH: The public parks and beaches in Sharjah were the most preferable destination for families and children from citizens, residents and visitors on the first day of Eid Al Adha.

The smiling faces of young people and children reflected the atmosphere of joy and celebration of the Eid, with the commitment to the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The recreational shows at the malls also succeeded in atracting a large number of families, who preferred their children to spend a happy time in an environment meeting the preventive and precautionary measures, as well as providing moderate temperatures that help children enjoy and entertain.

The Sharjah Municipality confirmed the readiness of the parks to receive the public with application of preventive measures and controls that ensure social distancing.

They open from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, while the Al Muntazah Park opens 8:00 pm until 12 am (midnight).

The municipality has called on the public to contact it around the clock via 993 to report any violations.

EID AL ADHA CELEBRATIONS IN AJMAN: Several areas in Ajman witnessed Eid Al Adha celebrations. People followed all the precautionary measures and properly maintained social distancing to stay safe.

The Ajman Corniche witnessed gathering of many families and young people to enjoy the shore, while Al Nuaimiya Park received a large number of families and children who visited it to enjoy the recreational games with the obligation to wear masks.

A number of small parks also welcomed families accompanied by their children to enjoy the atmosphere of Eid, while personnel from the Municipality and Planning Department were deployed to ensure the application of precautionary measures in all areas of the emirate.

On the other hand, the police patrols were deployed in the mosques and Eid prayers areas to organise the movement of the public during the Eid prayer.

This comes with the plan developed by the police to ensure flow of traffic during the Eid holiday. The police intensified deployment of the traffic patrols on the main roads and various areas in the emirate, in order to prevent traffic congestion, and to monitor the commitment to the precautionary and preventive measures against COVID-19.

It is that 50 traffic and safety patrols were deployed in various areas around the clock, to control traffic and reduce congestion and overcrowding in markets and malls. This translates the efforts of the security authorities to reduce traffic jams during the day, facilitate traffic and avoid accidents and traffic violations.
