ABU DHABI: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received a phone call from Israel’s Prime Minister Natali Bennet, during which they discussed ways of strengthening relations of cooperation between the two countries.

Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and the Israeli Prime Minister reviewed the developments of regional and international issues and topics, especially concerning the efforts to achieve peace and prosperity for the people of the region and the world at large.

The Israeli Prime Minister extended congratulations to Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. He wished him continued health and happiness, and the UAE and its people further progress and prosperity.

In turn, Sheikh Mohamed expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Israeli premier, wishing prosperity, peace and security on all mankind.

Sheikh Mohamed also congratulated Naftali Bennet on assuming the position of Prime Minister of Israel, expressing his desire to work together for peace, stability and development for the benefit of the region and all its peoples and the world at large.

In June, Israel’s Foreign Minister Yair Lapid inaugurated the Israeli Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

During the ribbon cuting ceremony Lipid said Israel is interested in peace with all its neighbours. We are not going anywhere. The Middle East is our home. We are here to stay and we call on all countries in the region to realise this.

Lipid inaugurated the embassy in the presence of Noura Al Kaabi, Emirati Minister of Culture and Youth.

“This is an historic moment. And it is a reminder that history is created by people. People, who understand history but are willing to change it. People who prefer the future to the past,” Lipid said later at the press conference.

The high-rise office in Abu Dhabi will serve as a temporary embassy.

In Tel Aviv, the Gulf country officially inaugurated its embassy, located in the Israeli business district.

The new Israel’s foreign minister said the Abraham Accords will bring peace in the region.

Ever since establishing ties, the two countries have expanded their business relations.

Ater opening flight services, over 200,000 Israelis have visited the UAE, Lipid told media in Abu Dhabi. Most of the tourists made trips to Dubai.

Both countries signed an agreement for economic and commercial cooperation, which an Israeli spokesman had earlier said would be the 12th since last year’s move to forge ties.
