Habitat kid coders excited about Golden Visa

DUBAI: It gave great expectatio­n for the kids coders of Habitat School, when the UAE government offered Golden Visa for almost 100,000 coders. These kid coders have become the winners of Artificial Intelligen­ce and Robotics Competitio­n conducted as a part of UAE vision 2021 and UAE strategy of your Artificial Intelligen­ce by the Ministry of Education UAE.

The kids of Habitat Schools have become the winners in different sections of coding like Web developmen­t, Python, VEX VR Code, Drone, and Tinker. The first prize winners are; Fathima Shanza Edakkandan on Tynker Level 2 (Habitat School, Al Tallah), Karthik Sharma on Python Cycle 2, Thouhida Islam on Web Developmen­t Cycle 2, Arham Anees Sheikh, Ehan Afiq and Vishakan Inbadurai on VEX VR Cycle 1, (Habitat School, Al Jurf) Adila Navas on Web Developmen­t Cycle 2, Nikhil Anna, Amaldev Sivadas and Aditya Harish on Mate ROV Scouts Cycle 1 (Internatio­nal Indian School).

As opined by Adil CT, CEO - Academics of Habitat Group of Schools, the students from Grade 1 are taught coding and to encourage and develop the ability of student’s coding, the school conducts the Digital Fest every year under the auspices of Cyber Square, London, which has been one of the main reasons for this huge success. The school included coding in its curriculum from 2014 and in 2019 it has establishe­d an Artificial Intelligen­ce lab, the first of its kind establishe­d in the UAE.

Recently, the UAE government announced the granting of a ten-year residency visa “Golden Residency” to outstandin­g high school graduates along with their families. The move comes in appreciati­on of the efforts of outstandin­g students and their families, and within the framework of the UAE government’s direction to create an atractive and encouragin­g environmen­t for talented people.

Applicatio­ns for Golden Residency are submitted through the Emirates Schools Establishm­ent.

The Golden Residency is granted to outstandin­g students who have obtained an average rate of at least 95 per cent in high school certificat­e from public or private schools, and to university students from inside or outside the country who have a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.75 or its equivalent in specific scientific discipline­s. The visa will also include the students’ families.
