Golden visas honour Bollywood actors

DUBAI: Bollywood film director Boney Kapoor along with his children joined the latest list of celebritie­s and stars to get the UAE’S Golden Visa in Dubai.

Actress Janhvi Kapoor, her sister Khushi and Boney were in Dubai to receive the honour on Thursday.

In fact, Boney’s son Arjun and eldest daughter Anshula were also granted the Golden Visa. Boney said on Twiter, “Thank you to Dubai Government for granting me and my 4 children Golden Visa on my Birthday @Dxbmediaof­fice…”

Sources in Bollywood said that Arjun could not travel to Dubai, as he is busy with his shooting schedules while Anshula is suffering from food poisoning.

It is believed that Arjun and Anshula will travel to Dubai to receive the visa later.

The Golden visa was granted to the family at the right time as Boney celebrated his birthday in Dubai.

A family friend said the visa made the celebratio­ns special.

Top Hindi film actors and directors, filmmakers have been granted the UAE Golden Visa. Recently, Farah Khan Kunder, Sanjay Dut, Shah Rukh Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, and Urvashi Rautela received the visa among others.

UAE, FINLAND EXPLORE PROSPECTS FOR JOINT COOPERATIO­N IN GEOLOGICAL SURVEY: The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastruc­ture and the Geological Survey of Finland (GTK) explored prospects for joint cooperatio­n in areas of geological survey and mineral exploratio­n.

Ahmed Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecre­tary for Petroleum, Gas and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Energy and Infrastruc­ture, welcomed in Abu Dhabi a delegation from the GTK, highlighti­ng the close

partnershi­p between the two countries in mining and geology. The two sides reviewed projects being implemente­d by GTK in a number of countries and shed light on the UAE strategy for future of mineral resources.
