Mohammed all praise for climate action at global level
DUBAI: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, affirmed that the role of the United Arab Emirates regarding the climate change is globally effective and active. The UAE supported international efforts to achieve climate neutrality.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed that working together as one team is the way to preserve the earth planet for the future generations.
Sheikh Mohammed said in a video in a hashtag on Instagram with the name of #Flashes of Thought, “Though the UAE is one of the main countries exporting oil, but we decided 15 years ago to invest in renewable energy and low-carbon technology. The climate change is not a temporary issue, but a global challenge. If all countries do not work as a team to preserve the planet for future generations , cost will be much greater in the future.”

In his statement to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), on the sidelines of his participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference ( ADIPEC) 2021, Barkindo congratulated the UAE for being chosen to host COP28, which highlights its prominent global stature and supports its aspirations to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
Hosting such a major international event in the UAE is a significant achievement that supports the country’s goal of leading international efforts in this strategic field, by implementing distinguished initiatives and making significant investments in low-carbon energy production, he added.
