Court orders man to pay Dhs7,600 in visa case
A bud ha bi: the a bud ha bi court for family and civil and Administrative Cases obligated a man to pay Dhs7,600 to another, besides the fees and expenses of the case, ater the first received Dhs13,600 from the second for the purpose of providing him with a visa, but the agreement was not implemented.
The details date back to an earlier time, when a man filed a lawsuit demanding that the appellee pay him Dhs7,600, besides the fees and expenses of the case, noting that he handed the appellee Dhs13,600 to provide him with a visa, and the appellee did not fulfil his word and returned him only Dhs6000 of the total amount paid.
The appellant atached a copy of the receipt of the transfer of the amount and photos of telephone correspondence to the lawsuit. The court indicated that, according to the case papers, the appellant transferred US dollars to the appellee, in addition to correspondence between them regarding the appellant’s request from the appellee to return the full amount due to the defendant’s failure to implement the agreement between them.
Recently, the Abu Dhabi Court of Appeal upheld a ruling of the Court of First Instance that obligated a company to pay the wife of a worker and his three chil dr endhs 200,000 in compensation, in addition to obligating it to pay all heirs Dhs120,000 distributed equally among them as moral compensation ater the loss of their sole breadwinner.
Details date back to earlier when the heirs of the deceased, his father, mother, wife and three sons filed a lawsuit against the company he had worked for demanding it to pay compensation of Dhs530,000, with a 12% interest for the harm they sustained.
They pointed out that their breadwinner died when a crane fell on him during work.
They noted that the company was condemned of causing the death of the deceased and another worker, and was obligated to pay Dhs200,000 in Diya and a fine of Dhs50,000.
The Court of First Instance ruled that the company must pay the deceased’s wife and father Dhs200,000, in addition to compensation of Dhs120,000. The company appealed the verdict but the Appellate court rejected it.
