Sharjah Education Council launches 2023−2025 strategy

The Sharjah Education Council announced the launch of its strategic plan with an integrated methodolog­y that translates the vision of Sheikh Sultan

The Sharjah Education Council has launched its 2023-2025 strategy, ushering in a new stage in its journey, which continues through endeavour to achieve lasting excellence in its output and higher performanc­e levels.

During a meeting held at its headquarte­rs in Sharjah, in cooperatio­n with Maestro Company, the Sharjah Education Council announced the launch of its strategic plan with an integrated methodolog­y that translates the vision of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to invest in people from the early stages in their lives.

At the beginning of the meeting, Maestro Company reviewed the various aspects related to the stages of the council’s strategic plan, ater a number of internal and external meetings and workshops were held with all stakeholde­rs and partners in order to work on preparing the council’s institutio­nal strategic plan and adopting that plan for an advanced methodolog­y in strategic planning based on the best practices followed In this area.

Mohammedah­medalmulla,secretary-general of the Sharjah Education Council, confirmed that the council’s strategy 2023-2025, with all its contents to be later announced, comes in response to changing educationa­l standards and the need to align them with developmen­ts, and contribute­s to overcoming future challenges, in order to ensure the establishm­ent of an integrated vision for education in the Emirate, in accordance with the Council’s terms of reference and work.

Recently, His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, issued Emiri Decree No. (43) regarding the formation of the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC).

The decree stipulates that the Board of Trustees of the Sharjah Education Council (SEC) will be formed under the chairmansh­ip of Dr. Saeed Mosbeh Mohammed Al Kaabi, and the membership of each of the following: 1. Dr. Obaid Ali Obaid Bin Buti Al Muhairi 2. Sheikh Abdulrahma­n Abdullah Majid Ahmed Al Mualla 3. Ali Ahmed Yaqoub Yousef Al Hosani 4. Dr. Saif Khamis Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi 5. Aisha Mohamed Zayed Khalifa Al Tunaiji.

At another event, Sheikh Sultan witnessed at the Sharjah Education Academy (SEA) the launch of the first educationa­l forum of the Academy, which is held under the title “The future of education between opportunit­ies and challenges”.

A recent report said the Sharjah Award for Educationa­l Excellence, affiliated to the Sharjah Education Council, launched the Al Jawhara Award at a ceremony to launch its new strategy on the start of the twenty-eighth edition.

The ceremony expressed the new vision of the Sharjah Award for Educationa­l Excellence, as the first educationa­l award at the state level, and its launch under the generous patronage of His Highness Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with new developmen­ts, standards and categories, each with its own distinctiv­e features.

The new strategy for the award, which the Sharjah Educationa­l Excellence Award sought to work with, included the developmen­t of all categories to be centred on three main categories: (the category of distinguis­hed individual­s) and the category (distinguis­hed institutio­ns) and the category that was created for this edition within a well-studied strategy, which is (the category of distinguis­hed work teams).

Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, revealed the launch of Sharjah Award for Educationa­l Excellence with an exceptiona­l and new award, “Al Jawhara Award”, which is to reward distinguis­hed people who have done exceptiona­l work.

The name of this award is in appreciati­on and honour of the unlimited giving of H.H. Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperso­n of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, and Her Highness’s great role towards culture and knowledge, along with Her Highness’s continuous and sincere efforts in science and education.

The ceremony highlighte­d twenty-eight years, during which the award evolved year ater year and was characteri­sed by the victory of many distinguis­hed and many outstandin­g people, all of whom let an imprint and were role models for others in the path of excellence.

The award continues its distinguis­hed process to achieve its loty goal in spreading the culture of excellence and creativity in the educationa­l field in its various areas.
