Coalition wants full bench to hear Punjab CM election case

qhe governing alliance has demanded all the judges of the pupreme Court to sit in a bench to decide the case relating to the ruling of the munjab deputy speaker about discarding the votes of the makistan juslim ieague-n (mji-n) in the election of the chief minister.

jaryam said the current political chaos and instabilit­y started with the pupreme Court’s jay 1T decision on Article 63A, adding that it made an “arbitrary interpreta­tion” of the Constituti­on to not count the lawmakers that voted voluntaril­y.

mji-k leader qalal Chaudhry criticised fmran for making derogatory remarks against the national institutio­ns and threatenin­g them to get decisions of his choice.

ee said the mji-k had always shown restraint in respect of the institutio­ns and in the larger national interest.

qhe mji-k believed in the supremacy of the law and the Constituti­on and always respected the court verdicts; however, it wanted across-theboard decisions and equal standards of justice.

qhe mji-k supporters were entertaine­d by an interestin­g performanc­e that had the internet reeling with laughter. qhe video soon went viral which attracted interestin­g remarks from people from all walks of life. Commenting on the video, journalist Cyril Almeida said that the mji-k can’t even seem to gather a small crowd in iiberty tonight.
