Hijri New Year holiday on Muharram 1

ABU DHABI: The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) issued a circular to the ministries and federal entities regarding the Hijri New Year holiday in the federal government for the year 1444 AH.

Based on the Cabinet’s decision for 2021 regarding the new system of weekly work in the federal government sector and on the approved official holiday plan pursuant to the Cabinet’s decision for 2020 for the government and private sectors in the UAE, the Hijri New Year holiday has been decided to be on Muharram 1, 1444 AH and the correspond­ing date in the Gregorian calendar.

Marking the occasion, the FAHR hereby extends its warm est congratula­tions to president his highness Sheikh mohamed binzay ed al na hy an, his highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.

The FAHR also congratula­ted the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations on this happy occasion.
