ISLAMABAD:FORMER prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has decided to accelerate ‘aggressive’ strategy against the ‘imported’ government.

According to details, the decision was taken during a meeting of PTI’S political commitee under the chairmanship of Imran.

The meeting decided to accelerate the ‘aggressive’ strategy against the federal government.

During the meeting, the former premier announced to address the nation and inform the people of Pakistan about his future strategy. Sources said that Imran Khan’s next target will be the federal government.

In this regard, the PTI Chairman issued important instructions to the party leadership while suggestions on various political issues were also taken from the meeting’s participants.

Sources further claimed that Imran has also instructed the party leaders to prepare for the general elections and said they will move towards Centre with the mandate of Punjab’s people.

Speaking during the meeting, the former prime minister said that the current rulers have destroyed the country. He also praised the Supreme Court’s (SC) verdict in Punjab chief minister election, saying that the apex court upheld the Constitution and law.

A three-member bench of the Supreme Court declared Deputy Speaker Dost Muhammad

Mazari’s ruling in the Punjab Chief Minister election “illegal” and ruled that Pervez Elahi will be the new CM of the province.

He said the PTI would express gratitude to the Almighty and celebrate with the people of the country who stood with them in their campaign for real freedom.

“I appreciate our Supreme Court judges for standing firm and upholding the Constitution and law, against all manner of threats and abuse. I want to thank (Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer) Barrister Ali Zafar and his team,” Imran tweeted.

“I want to thank the people of Punjab for coming out in unprecedented numbers in byelections against rigging.”

PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi declared the apex court’s decision as “Pakistan’s victory.”

“This (Punjab by-polls) was the people’s mandate. The people of Punjab had given a clear message that they had accepted Imran Khan’s narrative wholeheartedly. The imported government was imposed upon us. We reject it,” he said.

Qureshi noted that the Punjab Assembly deputy speaker had violated the Constitution and did not follow the principles and demands of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to dissolve assemblies.
